WinWatermark Professional
Editing Pictures – Getting Started
Before digital photos can be edited in WinWatermark, they must first be imported into the application. Once imported, the pictures to be edited must be selected prior to proceeding.
NOTE: Click any image in this article to enlarge the image OR right-click any image and select "Open Link in New Tab" to view the image full screen.
Mac Users: CTRL + Click = Right click
Imported Library
As shown on right, the Library called Untitled has been imported into the WinWatermark interface.
This is the active library denoted by the blue border.
Selected images are denoted by an orange border, which means none of the images have been selected for processing. Therefore, clicking the EDIT button will not display the Edit pop-up screen.
Select all images by clicking the ALL button in the Select area at the bottom of the screen OR select individual images by clicking each picture one at a time.
Once images have been selected (orange border), click the EDIT button in the bottom middle of the screen to begin processing.
Edit/Process Window
Upon clicking the EDIT button, a new window appears overtop WinWatermark’s initial interface screen. Take a look around the entire screen before editing your digital photos.
The upper left hand corner displays the active Library (blue border) called Untitled.
Across the top of the screen are all images in the current Library, called the Image Row. (red oval)
Down the right hand side of the editing window are the selected images with additional information like - the filename, a link displaying the current size of the image, and a link labeled EXIF, known as Exchangeable Image File Format. This right hand column of selected images is known as the Active Batch List. Any image in the Active Library, not initially selected for editing, can be dragged into the main editing area, and subsequently added to the Active Batch List.
Across the bottom of the screen are the many options available in which images can be edited or processed.
Image Links – RESIZE Image
Images that have been selected for editing are displayed in several areas of the editing window. The first image in the series is displayed in the very middle of the screen. All selected images are visible across the top and down the right hand side of the editing window.
In the right hand column, each picture has two links; each of which will open a separate window.
The top image displays the image size as 3264 x 2448. By clicking on those dimensions, the RESIZE pop-up window appears as shown. Look for the article WinWatermark Professional – Resizing Images for more information.
To close the RESIZE window, click the X in the upper right hand corner. Three options are available: Don’t Apply, Cancel, and Apply. To close the “are you sure” pop-up window, click DON’T APPLY to return to the editing window interface.
Image Links – EXIF Information The other valuable link is the EXIF link, which will display a wealth of information about each image.
Some of that information includes: image name, date/time the picture was taken, exposure mode, focal length, make and model of the camera used, and other pertinent information to both amateur and professional photographers alike.
Pop-up windows/screens, in WinWatermark Pro, can be easily moved. In the case of EXIF information, simply click the left mouse button on the title bar (green circle). While holding down the left mouse button, drag the window over to the side so that both the image and pop-up window are visible at the same time.
Click on NEXT to view EXIF information about the next image in the selected Library or PREVIOUS to display a previous image.
Click the X in the upper right hand corner to close the EXIF informational window.
