Editing photographs must always begin by first importing images into WinWatermark as shown. In this example, the Library called Photos has 47 images imported.
Once a Library has been imported, pictures must then be selected before editing. Selected images are denoted by the orange border around picture.
Hovering over icons in WinWatermark will display the specific action to be performed.
From the editing window, select the image to change from the Active Batch List (right hand column) and click the EFFECTS button.
From the Effects pop-up window, several options are available. As seen at left, the Convolve Edge option is selected.
Be patient while the software changes the effect of the current image.
Once the effect has changed a new image will appear in the main editing area.
Each effect can be tested and viewed prior to applying the new effect.
NOTE: Wait for the progress bar to finish before selecting a different effect.
The Flatten effect is shown at right.
In the lower right hand corner of the Effects window (red circle) is an option named Original.
Use this option to revert pictures back to their original setting.
The image on the right has had the effect changed to Charcoal.
Click the APPLY button (red circle) to accept the effect change and click CLOSE to return to the editing window.
The Effects interface can also be closed by clicking the X in the upper right hand corner of the pop-up window.
By clicking the X to close the Effects window, a new pop-up window (red circle) appears to verify the actions to be taken.
Don’t Apply means do not apply any changes selected.
Cancel means return to the Effects window.
Apply means apply the current settings and return to the editing window.
In this example, clicking APPLY saved the effect, changing just this image to have the Charcoal effect.
NOTE: Once an effect has been saved, an icon will appear next to the image in the Active Batch List as shown. (red circle)
To change the image back to its original settings, select the image from the Active Batch List, and click the EFFECTS button.
From the Effects window, click ORIGINAL in the lower right hand corner.
Wait for the progress bar to close before proceeding.
Once the image is back to its original state, clicking the X in the upper right hand corner of the Effects window results in a verification pop-up.
Click the APPLY button to revert the image back to its original settings.
Upon returning to the editing window, notice the Effects icon is now gone, indicating that no effect has been applied to the image.
NOTE: Effects can only be processed on a single image at a time.
